Foundation years website for professionals launched

A new website for professionals working in the foundation years has been launched by 4Children and the Early Years Strategic Partnership. The Foundation Years website was launched recently for parents and a section for professionals has just been launched. The website has the following aims:

Marmot Review launches consultation on social determinants of health

The Marmot Review team has launched a consultation on the social determinants of health in Europe. The review looks at health inequalities within and between different European countries in the World Health Organisation (WHO) region. Health inequalities are the incidence of childhood accidents are closely linked. Children from poorer backgrounds are 13 times more likely to die in accidents.

Ofsted has published a report highlighting best practice carried out by local children safeguarding boards (LCSBs). It highlights areas where LCSBs have worked well and highlights issues that have been learnt from serious case reviews (SCRs) and child death overview panels (CDOPs).
